Getting start with an Avatar in Second Life was like when a baby first learns to walk. Literally, I have to go through a series of tutorial which simply divided into 4 sections: Communication, Movement, Search, and Appearance. These basic operating controls might be very natural and easy to use now, but it took me a while to understand and master it. However, it was just the beginning of our journey with these basic operation control learned, and it was time to head out to the Mainland.

I started at Wengen, a snow resort on the bottom of a ski mountain. Knowing nothing but the basic controls, I soon started my search by using the Search function to look for location that the shaman might gather. In addition to the Search function, I would chat with people for suggest for finding a shaman. Strangely, I notice that most of them would direct me to a location. And most of the location would have name that has the characteristic of shaman, name such as Healthinfo Island, Bashkortostan the Darkling Main Store (sells black magic stuff), and Soulgiver …etc.
